Cooking Demonstration – Busting Food Myths & Recipes
Annalakshmi presents a cooking demonstration that challenges food myths, backed up by presentation from Dr Shyamala Vishnumohan, food scientist, nutritionist, Adjunct Associate Lecturer at UNSW, Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Ambassador as well as a consultant to the food industry.
Myths- Do vegetarians eat enough protein? Is carbs bad for you? Is coconut oil a miracle food? Is organic essential? Are sugars toxic?
We will demonstrate food items that support answers to these questions.
High protein mixed pulse roti- Adai. Olan, a coconut milk pulse dish with coconut oil. Paneer with mixed vegetables. Vegetable varai in mixed pulse base and Sabudhana/moong dhal payasum, in coconut milk with brown sugar.
You are invited to attend the cooking demonstration and savour the same satisfying dishes on the Annalakshmi buffet.
